Head Honcho: Andrew Mee
Andrew Mee was practically born on a bike, riding secondhand boneshakers his dad made, swapping BMX bits with his mates and now riding the latest kit thanks to his job in the bike trade.
I've been in the cycle trade for nearly 30 years, bike shop, mechanic, sales rep and now agent for Madison. I can offer advice on kit for you and the bike as well as skills and guiding.
My main passion is mountain biking and in particular BIG mountain riding. There is no better feeling than summiting a peak under your own steam.!
My racing career has been varied, from BMX in the eighties, through to xc MTB including winning 24hr races and trying cyclocross.
I've really found my calling with the ENDURO format though. It's basically what I enjoy about mountain biking, pootling up the climb chatting to come barreling down the other side flat out..!! Enduro IS mountain biking.....
I've raced at every level from winning the inaugural PMBA Northern series, the Enduro World Series round in the UK, UKGE rounds, SES, Tweedlove and further afield.
The greatest races of all are the big ones, the Megavalanche has to be experienced by every mountain biker at some point (even if you just go to watch and ride the other trails).
But it's week long racing that really gets me going.. I've competed in the Trans Savoie and the Trans Provence and they are both truly amazing..!
Racing and riding for a full week is pretty full on but an experience I hope to replicate of course
